Table inserts (chip breaker) for MS40 and MS40SF double miter saws - standard on current machines.
Original Hoffmann inserts are made of phenolic material and have pre-drilled mounting holes for easy installation.
They are oversized for a perfect fit - the insert will be trimmed to correct width with initial saw cut.
These table inserts are designed fulfill two functions:
a) To support the moulding from beneath all the way to the point of cut
b) To act as chip breaker to eliminate tear-out from the routing operation
Table inserts should be replaced when saw blades are changed or sharpened, or when different router bit sizes or keyway locations are used.
Sold in sets for left and right hand side.
