Whenever a solid wood edgeband has to be glued to a panel’s edge, whether a thin strip of 3mm hardwood or a heavy, wide moulding along a table edge, one never seems to have enough of the right clamps. They are too short, way too long, too heavy and there are rarely enough.
Enter the Hoffmann Edge Clamp UNI – a forged steel, professional level clamp made in Austria for woodworking shops of all sizes. From smaller custom shops to furniture factories, everyone needs a reliable means of clamping solid wood edgebanding without running the risk of damaging the panel by inadvertently dropping a long bar clamp on it. 
The Hoffmann Edge Clamp UNI features forged steel construction with a galvanized finish to prevent rust. The clamps work equally well on straight runs of shelving, table tops or interior doors and on any type of curved panel that cannot be clamped with bar clamps anyway.
Edge Clamp UNI is offered in two versions, differentiated by the maximum panel thickness they can lock onto.
Edge Clamp UNI 10-48mm can be used on panels between 3/8” to 1 9/16” thick – this is by far the most popular model and its range allows the use on most standard interior doors. 
Maximum width of edge: 2" (52mm)
Edge Clamp UNI-XL 10-65 is the larger version and will accept panels up to 2 9/16” thick. Typical applications include heavy acoustic panels, full sized doors, etc. This is a good choice for shops that occasionally process thicker panels because the minimum panel thickness is the same at 3/8”.

Most shops are best served by purchasing a larger quantity of Edge Clamp UNI 10-48 for “everyday use” and a few of the larger Edge Clamp UNI-XL 10-65 to be on hand as needed. And again, the Edge Clamp UNI-XL 10-65 can certainly be used on 3/4” panels as well.
The newer Edge Band UNI has a different yoke design, is made of forged steel for heavy daily use and can be used for attaching edgeband AND for assembling cabinet boxes! Compared to Edge Clamp UNI, the Edge Clamp Standard is the older, original design made out of cast aluminum and it can only be used to attach edgeband material.
